Apple Updates Macbook Air and Macbook Pro w/Retina Display!

Apple’s made some updates and price changes to their laptop lines yesterday. We wanted to keep everyone up to date on what models and prices have changed!

Macbook Air:

The models and configurations have remained the same, but the high end 13″ model (with 256gb of storage) has dropped in price from $1499 to $1399.

The Macbook Air is Apple’s ultra-portable, ultra-thin laptop. With solid flash memory, it’s sturdy and light — perfect for students and travelers.

13″ Macbook Pro with Retina Display:

The base model is now $1499, down from $1699. The high end model now has a faster 2.6GHz dual-core processor and is now priced at $1699, down from $2199.

15″ Macbook Pro with Retina Display

Both models have received new, faster processors. The base model, priced at $2199, now has a 2.4GHz quad-core processor (up from a 2.3GHz quad-core processor). The high end model has a 2.7GHz quad-core processor (up from 2.6GHz quad-core process0r) and now has 16GB of RAM (up from 8GB).

Apple’s Macbook Pros with Retina Display are their top of the line laptops. Like the Macbook Air they have solid flash memory, which allows them to have a thinner body and lighter weight than their traditional Macbook Pro counterparts. They also have excellent processors, giving them the power to run demanding programs with ease.
